About the Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Avride, you’ll be responsible for developing wiring harnesses and electrical schematics for autonomous vehicles and mobile robots. You’ll take designs from concept through production, create 3D routing in CAD, and generate full manufacturing documentation. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with automotive standards and support system integration and testing.

What You'll Do

  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, connection and wiring diagrams of self-driving cars and mobile delivery robots
  • Design 3D-models of cables and harnesses and route them inside developed objects (self-driving cars and delivery robots) using special CAD
  • Design a full set of documentation for cables and harnesses production including manufacturing documents
  • Writing instructions and manuals about electrical equipment installation and testing
  • Component selection – connectors, wires, coaxial cables, coverings according to requirements and automotive standards
  • Protecting electronic components and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Calculation of power balance and selection standards for new electronic components.
  • Preparing and providing complete production documentation for third-party production facilities.
  • Coordination of technological documentation with contractors for production.
  • Preparations of assembly instructions and instructions for service campaigns.
  • Taking part in test assemblies of electrical equipment of developed objects
  • Troubleshooting during operation of developed objects (self-driving cars and delivery robots)

What You'll Need

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or similar engineering degree. Foreign equivalent is accepted.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in electrical design including harnesses and cables developing.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the automotive/aerospace industry
  • 5+ years of electronic product experience designing hardware from concept through production; strong emphasis on full life cycle development of new hardware products and not small updates to legacy hardware.
  • 2+ years of experience working in autonomous vehicles/mobile robots’ design
  • 2+ years of experience in the development of high-frequency devices
  • 2+ years of experience in developing manufacturing documents for wiring production
  • 2+ years of experience working with vendors/contractors from Europe/Asia
  • professional experience in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronic devices
  • Knowledge the modern automotive standards like USCAR2, LVDS, LV214
  • Knowledge of the physical layer of data transmission for various industrial interfaces such as CAN (CAN-FD), 10BASE-T1S Ethernet, RS485.
  • Familiarity with modern elements base for the electrical equipment construction.
  • Proficient in CADs - SolidWorks Electrical 3D & 2D, PTC CREO, CATIA 3DExperience.
