About the Role
As an Electronic Designer at Avride, you will design and develop advanced electronic hardware for our autonomous vehicles, from concept to production. Your work will drive innovation in low-noise, high-performance embedded systems powering our delivery robots and self-driving cars.
What You'll Do
- Designing principal electronic schemes of self-driving vehicle embedded hardware units.
- Developing printed circuit boards of self-driving vehicle embedded hardware units.
- Prototyping new designed devices.
- Preparing production documentation for contract manufacturing of newly designed devices.
- Research and development in the field of new solutions for highly sensitive opto-electronic detectors.
- Calculations and modeling of analog frontend and readout schemes of low noise ADC receiving paths.
- Full development cycle of electronics starting from ideas, draft designs and calculations, ending with fully functional devices as parts of self-driving cars and delivery robots.
- Assisting in mass production up to hundreds of devices of different types, including cooperation with third-party contractors.
- Designing and implementing testing and calibration equipment for manufactured electronics.
- Debugging and startup of electronic solutions in the produced devices.
- Analysis of modern electronic components market for automotive and sensor applications, selecting accessible and perspective components.
- Measuring electronic characteristics of assembled prototypes of devices.
What You'll Need
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Foreign equivalent is acceptable.
- At least 10 years of experience in Electronic Design Engineering or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in designing electronic devices based on printed circuit boards.
- Experience working with automotive electronic components and systems.
- Skills in analyzing the market of modern electronic components for automotive applications.
- Ability to develop electrical schemes of low-noise circuits, readout and bias schemes of semiconductor photomultipliers or other photosensitive devices and conduct related engineering calculations.
- Experience in tracing multilayer printed circuit boards of various configurations and preparing its manufacturing documentation.
- Practical experience in measuring electrical characteristics of manufactured prototypes, conducting laboratory tests with debugging and repairing of prototypes.
- Understanding principles and experience in development of various types of sensors for self-driving cars (LIDAR, RADAR, video cameras, microphones, ultrasonic sensors etc.).
- Ability to adapt device prototypes for small-scale, serial, and mass production technologies with ensuring quality control.
