About the Team
Our Remote Assistance Team supports the safe operation of autonomous vehicles by providing real-time oversight and critical decision-making from afar. We operate at the intersection of technology and human oversight, enabling the transition to full autonomy with confidence and precision.
About the Role
The RA Operator provides continuous remote monitoring and real-time decision-making for autonomous vehicles under constant supervision. This role is critical to ensuring fleet safety and reliability during the transition to fully driverless operations — without an onboard safety engineer.
What You'll Do
- Actively monitor an assigned vehicle using the Remote Command (RC) interface and multiple camera feeds
- Proactively intervene when necessary using system tools
- Log all interventions and key observations in real time (Notion/Google Sheets)
- Conduct post-trip reviews and flag any anomalies
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and contribute to the edge-case knowledge base
- Track and report operational metrics
- Ensure a clean shift handoff by communicating key context to the incoming Shift Lead
What You'll Need
- Experience in technical support, dispatch, or operations (e.g., IT, transportation)
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
- High attention to detail and disciplined documentation practices
- Basic understanding of autonomous vehicle systems or a strong willingness to learn
Nice to Have
- Experience with geolocation tools or Remote Command (RC) interfaces
- Familiarity with perception and planning concepts in autonomous systems
- Skills in log analysis or working with event data
